Launched in 2019, STAY Camden are a design-led luxury serviced apartments set within the vibrant development of Hawley Wharf nestled in the heart of Camden.
Comprising 169 units made up of 1,2 and 3 bed apartments; STAY provides guests the comfort and convenience of home, combined with the luxuries of a boutique hotel.
STAY started their sustainability journey with us in 2022 as they recognised the need for a robust environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) roadmap to support investor relations and their local community while satisfying eco-conscious guests too.
Tem Tempest-Roe, Head of Marketing for STAY left us the following review on Trustpilot
“Fantastic experience with the team at mission : net zero, who helped us to break down what can be viewed as quite a daunting task and guide us through a number of initiatives step-by-step. With their expertise, STAY Camden worked through the Green Tourism accreditation programme, culminating in an achievement of a Gold Award and an ECOSmart Certified Plus status from Greengage. We are delighted to continue our relationship and progress on our journey. Mission : net zero are flexible, understanding, and thorough in their explanations, with quick response times and suggestions tailored to our business.”

“Sustainability is becoming one of the top priorities when searching or procuring accommodation for most corporate clients. We are seeing an increase in customers requesting information specific to our sustainability approach and therefore it is extremely important to ensure we are working alongside this. By prioritising our own sustainability journey, we can help our clients to reduce their own carbon footprint. Our apartments are designed with sustainable materials and energy efficient appliances, ensuring a comfortable stay, whilst minimising resource consumption.”, Emily Marsh, Corporate Sales Manager, STAY

Focus on community and team:
- Colleagues have access to a cycle to work scheme.
- Colleagues are given one paid day a year to volunteer for a cause of their own choice
- Non-perishable surplus food that’s left by guests gets donated to their local food bank every week for them to distribute throughout the local community.
STAY along with their partners and iRecycle Waste Management Limited regularly embrace the outdoors and hit the canal, armed with litter pickers and nets, extracting plastic and other floating waste from the waters.
“As well as helping to protect our waterways, it’s a fun day out and an even better way to get people involved. It gives the team and our partners direct insight into how they can make a difference with just a few hours of their time” – Michael Fiala, General Manager, STAY Camden
Ongoing advisory support
Together, we are driving their business towards higher levels of environmental sustainability backed by recognised eco-labels; Green Tourism and Greengage. Key to their success and ongoing sustainable reputation are their transparent climate disclosures and emissions targets.
We continue to help the Green Team monitor and report progress against environmental policy of the business in areas including energy, waste and water management, with focus on biodiversity projects, community engagement, local food & drink supply chains and social elements including employee welfare and guest experiences.
Simon Catterick, CEO of mission : net zero comments: “From the beginning of our partnership, STAY Camden have continued to show commitment towards their investment in sustainability. This is particularly promising as the built environment has a long way to go to align with targets set by the Paris Agreement.”
