Launched in 2019, STAY Camden comprises design-led luxury serviced apartments.

Comprising 169 units made up of 1,2 and 3 bed apartments; STAY provides guests the comfort and convenience of home, combined with the luxuries of a boutique hotel. 

STAY started their sustainability journey with us in 2022 as they recognised the need for a robust environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) roadmap to support investor relations and their local community while satisfying eco-conscious guests too.

Here are just a few green initiatives we’ve helped the Green Team implement: 

  • Completely contactless, digitalised check-in and billing
  • Welcome hamper items are packaged in biodegradable, plastic free wrappers.
  • A waste removal partnership with iRecycle through which waste is transported away by canal boat to be recycled 
  • Secure bike storage in each basement of each building for guests to use to encourage them to cycle while they’re in London
  • Eco flow limited taps and showerheads which reduces water wastage while maintaining water pressure for guests
  • CHP boilers which produce electricity for the building while heating water
  • An optional grocery delivery service using electric bikes
  • Housekeeping only use eco-friendly cleaning products
  • Onboarding of the Greenview sustainability management platform

Award-winning best practice showcasing plastic reduction

Focus on community and team:

  • Colleagues have access to a cycle to work scheme.
  • Colleagues are given one paid day a year to volunteer for a cause of their own choice
  • Non-perishable surplus food that’s left by guests gets donated to their local food bank every week for them to distribute throughout the local community.

STAY along with their partners and iRecycle Waste Management Limited regularly embrace the outdoors and hit the canal, armed with litter pickers and nets, extracting plastic and other floating waste from the waters.

Together, we are driving their business towards higher levels of environmental sustainability backed by recognised eco-labels; Green Tourism and Greengage. Key to their success and ongoing sustainable reputation are their transparent climate disclosures and emissions targets.

We continue to help the Green Team monitor and report progress against environmental policy of the business in areas including energy, waste and water management, with focus on biodiversity projects, community engagement, local food & drink supply chains and social elements including employee welfare and guest experiences.
