Green Tourism is a leading independent standard that demonstrates excellence in the field of environmental responsibility, sustainable operation, and social impact for the hospitality sector. In addition to supporting the green team at The Morrison, led by Patrick Joyce and Egle Frioukh to achieve Green Tourism eco-certification, with positive environmental credentials becoming increasingly important to leisure travellers and corporate bookers of meetings & events earning the supplementary Green Meetings award symbolises the commitment of the hotel to sustainable development which is extremely attractive to potential customers and guests. Thus, giving the business a competitive advantage with a certified grading that sets them apart from hotels in Dublin without any accredited green credentials.
We will now help the green team to verify continual improvement in their sustainability performance by monitoring, measuring and reporting progress against the ESG KPI’s of the business in areas including energy, waste and water management, with focus on community involvement, local food & drink supply chains and social elements including employee welfare and authentic guest experiences.
