Congratulations to Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa who have been certified with Green Key for their sustainable hotel operations for the second year running.
The Green Key award is the leading standard for excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism industry. We were confident that Last Drop Village’s sustainability policies and initiatives would be recognised again by the Green Key audit – below are just a few which they have in motion:
- Reducing waste streams and increasing recycling efforts
- Preference for local suppliers and Fairtrade goods
- Developed a new biodiversity habitat where insects and birds can flourish
- Strengthening partnerships and support for local charities and schools
Planting trees today for tomorrow
For every new and renewed eco-label accreditation our clients achieve, we commit to planting 100 trees across various plantation projects in Madagascar, Kenya, Nepal, Honduras, and Philippines.
The ‘mission forest’ has been made possible thanks to our ongoing partnership with More Trees who are furthering the sustainability services we offer to hospitality clients, while also providing a platform for rewarding clients for their progress.
