Congratulations to Hilton Belfast for supercharging their sustainability mission by gaining Silver Certification by Green Tourism.
It’s been a pleasure working with the ‘green team’ at Hilton Belfast and Axiom Hospitality in recent months to develop an environmental and social impact programme that meets ESG principles set by leading investment firm, Starwood Capital Group. These principles are taken into account in the course of operating their company, evaluating investments and managing assets for the funds that they sponsor.
The hotel has demonstrated compliance with a wide range of criteria that enables them to monitor, measure and report on their progress in creating a greener, cleaner environment, for people, places and our planet. The hotel’s eco-achievements have been recognised by earning silver accreditation with the internationally respected certification programme of Green Tourism which enhances the proprietary Hilton, Travel with Purpose sustainability and social impact initiatives.
To build on their great work to date the hotel team is now focused on developing workstreams towards earning Gold accreditation.
